About Me.
Who am I?
. . . That's a secret I'll never tell.
Okay, okay, I'll tell you.

Being born in Chicago but growing up in Miami, Alex Segarra (Me, hey!!) is an up-and-coming actor with big dreams. Beginning his artistic career around nine years old by taking piano and voice lessons along with his dance classes, his determination lead him to apply to New World School of the Arts, an arts high school right in the heart of downtown Miami. However, the most important lesson he learned there was how much diversity and inclusion would play a role in his mission. As a result of the exposure to those who both looked like him and didn't, diversity and varying cultural identities cemented their way into his everyday life, and therefore Alex knew that he would want to be on the stage or the big-screen one day in an attempt to give younger kids someone to relate to and to help spark conversations about race, sexuality, and more.

Furthering his theatrical education even more, Alex was accepted into Elon University’s Music Theater B.F.A program. At Elon University, he worked relentlessly to improve his skillset and craft. He has been a part of many performances and productions ranging from a leading player in Shakespeare in the Dark: a senior student thesis project uncovering the stigmas behind gender, race, and other qualities within Shakespeare’s work, having been cast as Mac in 42nd street and an ensemble member in Once On This Island, as well as having been part of multiple benefit concerts for Equity Fights Aids - Elon Cares. He has also dipped his toes in television opportunities while on campus, being cast in a student-lead reality show titled Reality Room.

With a first-hand look at what happens behind the scenes, working as a literary intern at O'Henry Productions (NY) as well as a lead agent assistant at Baron Entertainment (CA), Alex is more than prepared for his next steps into the professional world. Alex now lives in Los Angeles, and is already making strides in the business, having worked on a few short films and even walked in fashion week runway shows, there's so much he wants to do, and he's ready to dive head-first into those goals.
Giving all the credit to his parents who have sacrificed so much to help him get strong training, Alex is looking forward to this next chapter of his artistic career. While apartment hunting and job searching is a big step into adulthood, Alex is ready to put all his training to work. He’s confident, sharp, and will stop at nothing to reach his goals. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family, going to the beach, working out at the gym, and listening to his favorite artist Ariana Grande. He considers himself an extrovert who beams at the opportunity to show off his individuality, passion, and who isn’t afraid to give you an improved sixteen-count of vogue dance at the drop of a dime!
